How it works (3 steps)

You’ll create your own copy, customize your questions and candidates, then use the widget below to generate a simple embed for your site. The quiz runs on our code; you host it with an easy HTML embed.

1. Make your copy of the Google Sheet template.
2. Customize questions, topics, and candidate answers, then publish the Quiz_Data sheet as CSV.
3. Get your embed code below: paste your Sheet URL, then copy the link or embed code into any page/post on your site.

Start with our template designed specifically for newsrooms to create meaningful voter-candidate connections. Add your local candidates and customize questions for the issues that matter most in your community.

2. Customize & publish your sheet

Make it relevant for your community:

• Add local candidates – replace samples with your election’s actual candidates
• Focus on local issues – customize questions for topics voters care about in your area
• Tailor the experience – enable only the most relevant questions for your election
• Capture candidate positions – fill in where each candidate stands on the issues

Publish to web:

1. FIRST: Click “Share” → “Anyone with the link” → “Viewer” → “Done”
2. Click the “Quiz_Data” tab at the bottom of your sheet
3. File → Share → Publish to web → “Quiz_Data” sheet → “CSV” → Publish
4. Copy the URL from your browser’s address bar (not from the publish dialog)
